I don't know why, but sometimes, I spend a ridiculous amount of time on a single page of my sketchbooks, generally, I just draw things and fill the rest of the page up with checkers and swirls and other fun things, like text and song lyrics. Usually this happens when I'm drawing with pens and bored.
Tonight I'm sharing with you all one of these over the top pages, but in stages, so you can see how it develops a little? (It's FAAAAASCINATING insight into my drawing process or something)

ETA: this isn't worth it's own LJ entry, but OH KITCHENS <3 I LOVE YOU <3 (they gave me a tray of cakes today. *melts with glee* I didn't eat the cakes & instead left them in the morning tea room for the nurses, but I GOT CAKE! <3 <3
